Recycling is easy to do. It helps the earth by decreasing the amount of trash put into landfills and saves energy. Some recycling centers even pay you to bring recyclables to them, so why not?
2. Store food in reusable containers
Instead of packing a sandwich in a plastic sandwich bag for lunch, use a plastic container that can be washed and reused. It will decrease waste, and your sandwich will not get smashed.
3. Donate unwanted items
Instead of throwing away items, donate them or sell them in a yard sale. Someone else may be able to use the items, and it helps the Earth by decreasing waste.
Carpooling decreases CO2 emissions, and it will help you save money by using less gasoline.
5.Bring your own bag
Many grocery stores sell reusable bags and they are much more environmentally friendly than disposable plastic grocery bags. If you do need to use disposable grocery bags, many grocery stores offer plastic bag recycling as well.
6. Ride a bike or walk
Opting to walk or ride a bike instead of driving decreases CO2 emissions. Walking and Bike riding is not only good for the environment, it's a good form of exercise for you too.
7. Use a refillable water bottle
Disposable plastic water bottles take 450 years to decompose and a lot of energy to produce. Save the Earth by using a refillable water bottle.
